Ingredients (1 serving):
3 oz (90 ml) Prosecco (dry or extra dry, well chilled)
2 oz (60 ml) Aperol (or another bitter aperitivo like Select or Campari)
1 oz (30 ml) soda water (chilled)
Ice (cubed)
Orange slice (for garnish)
The golden Spritz ratio is: 3-2-1 → Prosecco, Aperol, soda.
Equipment Needed:
Large wine glass or rocks glass
Spoon or cocktail stirrer
Jigger or measuring tool
Instructions:
Fill the glass with ice:
Use a large wine glass and fill it completely with ice to keep the drink cold and sparkling longer.
Add Prosecco:
Pour in 3 oz (90 ml) of chilled Prosecco.
Add Aperol:
Add 2 oz (60 ml) of Aperol slowly to avoid mixing too aggressively.
Top with soda water:
Pour in 1 oz (30 ml) of soda water (or to taste).
Gently stir:
Give it a gentle stir once or twice to blend without losing too many bubbles.
Garnish and serve:
Add a fresh orange slice for a burst of aroma and a traditional touch.
Serve immediately while it's still crisp and bubbly.
Tips for the Perfect Spritz:
Use dry Prosecco to balance Aperol’s sweetness.
Always add ingredients in the 3-2-1 order for the best layering and fizz.
Try swapping Aperol with Campari (for a more bitter Spritz) or Select (used in Venice).
Chill your ingredients beforehand for a refreshing sip without dilution.
